Gonzo’s Quest: MegaWays Symbols
Symbols are known as “blocks” in this game, as they were in its predecessor. The same symbols that starred in the original Gonzo’s Quest return for this MegaWays release. Of course, they all come in varying sizes, as is the case in seemingly all MegaWays games. Prizes range from 0.1x up to 0.8x for the bird, snake, alligator, and fish emblems, while the Mesoamerican masks (of varying colors) deliver wins of up to 15x.
As in the original release, the question mark returns as the wild symbol. Similarly, the golden emblem resumes its role as a scatter. Question mark wild blocks can land on the reels and replace all symbols save for golden scatter blocks. Wilds won’t disappear in avalanche wins. This makes it a touch easier to chain together successive avalanche wins.
Landing three (or more) golden scatter blocks will trigger the Free Falls Bonus. Don’t be confused by the “falls” aspect of the round. A “free fall” is equivalent to a “free spin”. You can win up to nine free spins initially. A Royal Wheel then shows up (making its debut in this game). It will allow you to play with the number of spins awarded, or you can gamble them. Gambling them could see you wind up with as few as four or as many as twenty-five spins.
The avalanche feature comes into play during the Free Falls Bonus, too, although this time, the multipliers are magnified. Your first, second, third or fourth chained win (avalanches) can result in 3x, 6x, 9x, and 15x multipliers being applied, respectively.
